SMV Recruiting, LLC is seeking a Vice President of MEP Engineering Operations (Albany), to launch a branch in Albany, NY for a well-established MEP engineering firm headquartered in Upstate NY. You’ll have the chance to hire and develop your own team, shape the office’s direction, and manage both business development and project execution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build and lead the Albany office from the ground up, drive business growth, and earn a percentage of profits, We’re looking for an entrepreneurial individual, who is highly motivated and eager to take on an executive role. Our client is looking for someone with experience in mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or plumbing engineering and a proven ability to build relationships and bring in new business.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the Albany office, overseeing operations, project execution, and client relationships
- Drive business development by building relationships and bringing in new projects
- Oversee project management to ensure work is done on time, on budget, and to a high standard
- Mentor and manage a growing team of engineers and project managers while staying actively involved in project execution
- Manage office operations for mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing engineering teams
- Build strong relationships with clients and expand business opportunities within the region
- Handle RFPs and proposals, and manage the project pipeline from initial contact to project completion
- Profit-based bonus structure—earn a percentage of profits based on the successful completion of projects
