SMV Recruiting, LLC is actively looking for a Controller for our client in Syracuse, NY. Our client is well established manufacturing company who is looking for someone who’s looking to advance their career and eventually move into a CFO role. Ideally, they are looking for someone with at least 15 years of accounting experience, coupled with 5 manufacturing and cost accounting experience. Our client wants someone who is a team player, knows how to build / lead great team and company cultures. Responsibilities
- Supervise a 8 person accounting and finance team
- Oversee a CAPEX projects
- Prepare budgets, create schedules, analyzing financials and recommend plans and budgets
- Analyzing and summarize financial / industry trends
- Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures
- Heavy analysis work including variance analysis, cost analysis, trend analysis, etc.
- Present financials, budgets, and forecasts to senior leadership
