Groupware Specialist (Microsoft 365 Systems Analyst)

The primary function of this role is to provide technical expertise and systems analysis to the Enterprise Systems team in managing and supporting the Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate will have experience configuring services, monitoring, maintaining, and providing support in an enterprise Microsoft 365 environment.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree

Experience

• 2 to 4 years of IT work experience in programming and systems analysis

• Experience with groupware/messaging technologies, tools, and relevant platforms

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
This is an intermediate-level professional position. Responsibilities include:

1. Participating in multiple projects and activities as a team member; may occasionally serve as a project lead

2. Handling moderately complex tasks and support issues across multiple technical environments

3. Providing guidance and coaching to junior technical staff when necessary

1. Defining business requirements for collaborative work tools, including working with end-users to gather specifications for groupware applications (e.g., Microsoft Exchange)

2. Implementing, maintaining, and supporting groupware systems based on those requirements

3. Evaluating and recommending hardware/software solutions to meet business and user needs

4. Providing technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of groupware strategies

5. Engineering and deploying various groupware applications including team collaboration, internet and wireless access, document sharing, and next-generation messaging clients
