Job Title: Lead, Battle Simulations
SMX is seeking a highly skilled professional to provide simulations expertise and oversight in support of the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (ICoE) Chief Information Officer (CIO)/G6. The ICoE is responsible for the institutional training and education of Military Intelligence (MI) Soldiers and Leaders of all ranks.
The ICoE has the largest and most complex Information Technology (IT) architecture in Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), with a key component being the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A).
Responsibilities & Essential Duties
- Operate and maintain the ICoE's Military Intelligence Battle Simulations Center, and all systems therein.
- Lead systems, database administration, management, and maintenance on ICoE training systems, including program of record (POR) battle simulations systems, Virtual and Constructive battle simulation networks and systems, and other hardware and software, as required by the mission.
- Provide oversight to maintain the ICoE Battle Simulations Center, and all systems therein.
Requirements
- Must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline.
- May use four years of experience managing Army Battle Simulations environments in lieu of a Bachelor of Science degree.
- Associates Degree in a STEM discipline (non-waiverable).
- Must be certified at the IAT Level II IAW DoD instruction 8570.1m.
- Must be eligible for a TS/SCI security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- 10 years experience with Army Battle Simulation environments (military training operations management preferred).
- Extensive experience with modern and legacy Army and Joint battle simulations systems (such as Warfighter's Simulation (WARSIM), Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS), Multiple UAV Simulation Environment (MUSE), or applications in the training of Intelligence operations).
- Familiarity with the Army's Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) scenario, and its operating battle simulation systems on classified networks at the Secret and Top Secret/SCI levels.
- Extensive experience with High Level Architecture (HLA) and Distributed Interactive Simulations Protocol Data Unit (DIS PDU) protocols and functionality.
- Extensive experience with military (ground forces) scenario development, friendly (US and Coalition) and enemy Order of Battle, and ingestion/digitization of scenarios into battle simulations systems.
- Experience delivering constructive battle simulations into the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A).
