SMX seeks a Maritime Intelligence Lead aligned with SOCPAC geographic regions to provide Steady-State, Crisis, and Predictive Intelligence coverage of assigned region facilitating CONOP development and support for USINDOPACOM, USSOCOM, SOCPAC and interagency planning to develop full range of Special Operations options.
Key Responsibilities
- Review products from other SOCPAC Intel Analysts for accuracy, clarity, quality control, and consistency in coordination with SOCPAC's Civilian Senior Intelligence Analyst.
- Coordinate requirements for analysis and production.
- Plan, monitor, and validate tasks and deliverables.
- Ensure employees' competencies and capabilities are at required level.
- Interface with next levels of management within Branch.
- Ensure new team members easily get integrated in Branch.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide All Source analysis to support Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC).
- Provide China-focused intelligence support on regional and functional topics.
- Provide China-focused irregular and asymmetric warfare capabilities in maritime domain.
- Publish products unique to SOCPAC including Operations and Intelligence (O&I) Briefs, Deep Dives and Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with Director of National Intelligence analytic tradecraft standards (ICD 203, 205, 206 and 208).
- Research, review, edit, plan prepare and integrate and publish all-source assessments including CONOP development and support.
- Conduct research and analysis at operational- or tactical-level and communicate assessments in operational- or tactical-level analytic intelligence products and through oral briefings.
- Analysis includes assessments identifying and describing threat actors, activities, platforms, and targets-as well as how they interact and providing understanding of presence, intent, and capabilities of identified threat.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) and Human Intelligence (HUMINT).
- Present formal and informational briefings to variety of audiences Identify collection gaps, specific collection requirements to fill gaps in information, and evaluate reporting through evaluation and source directed requirements (SDR).
- Demonstrate experience with intelligence analysis tools and databases used in intelligence environment including but not limited to data mining, geospatial and nodal analysis tools.
- Possess excellent oral, writing and coordination skills to communicate information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Specialty in China and support to US SOF highly desired.
- CONUS, OCONUS and Overseas travel may be required.
- Deployment: Deployments of no more than 90 days may be required to following countries: Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei or Singapore.
Required Skills & Experience
- DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access.
- Master's (MS/MA) degree in any field.
- Ten (10) years of experience in threat, indications and warning, collection, analysis, and production collaborating with other senior intelligence analysts.
- Ten (10) years' intelligence staff experience, tactical through operational/Combatant Command (COCOM).
- Five (5) years of experience with analysis, reporting and briefing within USINDOPACOM/INDO-PAC AOR Intelligence Enterprise, the US Intelligence Community, and the Interagency.
- Four (4) years of experience in DoD & Interagency Intelligence programs, asymmetric analysis, Pacific Command (PACOM)/Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) training events, and PACOM country(s) familiarization.
- Four (4) years of experience using theater and national level intelligence automated information, intelligence, and communication systems, tools, databases, and programs.
- Four (4) years of experience in assigned region or domain (eg, Senior Northeast Asia, Senior South Asia, Senior Southeast, or Senior Oceania).
