What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Leader for Military Simulations position at SMX?
At SMX, we are seeking a seasoned Technical Leader to oversee the development and maintenance of our military simulation systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing and implementing battle simulations for the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (ICoE). Key responsibilities include leading teams, managing database administration, and ensuring the operation and maintenance of complex IT architecture. Additionally, this role requires oversight of training systems, including program of record battle simulations systems, virtual and constructive battle simulation networks, and other hardware and software as required by the mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams responsible for the operation and maintenance of ICoE's Military Intelligence Battle Simulations Center and all systems therein.
- Manage database administration, systems management, and maintenance on ICoE training systems, including program of record battle simulations systems, Virtual and Constructive battle simulation networks and systems, and other hardware and software as required by the mission.
- Develop and implement coverage plans to support extended hours, weekends, and periods of 24-hour training/operations for one or multiple consecutive days.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline or four years of experience managing Army Battle Simulations environments in lieu of a degree.
- Certification at the IAT Level II per DoD instruction 8570.1m.
- Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance.
