Our client, a leading and innovative restaurant group with locations in North America, is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR activities for their prestigious restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. This key role will be based onsite at their Los Angeles location.
About the Role:
As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the organisation's HR initiatives. You will play a critical role in employee relations, training and development, policy implementation, and providing guidance to the operational teams. Your role will support the business in maintaining a high-performance culture, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and facilitating the opening of new locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between management and employees, handling all HR-related practices.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to the operational teams.
- Lead recruitment efforts, ensuring compliance with local and federal laws.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, providing recommendations to enhance offerings.
- Review and support the payroll process for accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with the training team to develop and implement training programs.
- Manage the annual performance review process and identify methods for improvement.
- Provide counsel on performance standards, company policies, and procedures to foster a high-performance culture.
- Manage employee relations, conduct investigations, and ensure all HR activities align with legal requirements.
- Support new restaurant openings, ensuring all HR systems, processes, and compliance are in place.
- Offer innovative solutions to improve employee morale and satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role.
- Experience in developing and administering benefit programs, policies, and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Proven experience in conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
- Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills and the ability to take initiative.
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred.
Professional Requirements:
- 5 years in Human Resources Management.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and policies.
- Experience in the food industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
