Summary:
The Admissions Coordinator is a rehab professional who along with the Medical Director, screens patients for admission to the rehabilitation unit. The Admissions Coordinator will evaluate patients in their pre-rehab setting, sharing the information gathered with the Medical Director before admission to the Inpatient Rehab Unit. In addition to the screening process, the Admission Coordinator will work with the patient, family and insurance provider to simplify the transition process from acute setting to Inpatient Rehab, as well as to assure proper management of reimbursement issues. The Admissions Coordinator will also assist, as assigned, with IRF-PAI and UDS information management / submission. Promotes the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit as assigned to other healthcare facilities, health fairs, etc.
Requirements:
Associate's degree required, healthcare program preferred. Bachelor's degree in healthcare preferred. Six months experience in rehab or related facility.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active RN, LPN, PTA, COTA, or CSW licensure in appropriate state
CPR required
