This opportunity is in the Claims department.

Our Claims Department oversees both high-exposure workers’ compensation and liability claims. As an unbundled carrier, we work actively with third-party administrators (TPAs) and self-administered accounts to assist in guiding claims to a successful resolution. As an excess carrier, the catastrophic claims we handle keep our group challenged, but the uniqueness provides plenty of growth opportunities.

Role Description:

If you're ready to step into a leadership role with a respected insurance carrier, the Claims Manager position may be the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you will oversee complex workers’ compensation claims, guiding them from initial assignment through closure. You’ll use your expertise to determine coverage, evaluate exposure, set and update reserves, and direct settlement negotiations within your authority level. Collaboration will be key, as you coordinate with TPAs, legal counsel, medical management teams, and internal departments like Underwriting. You'll also play a pivotal role in identifying reinsurance exposures, leading audit efforts, and supporting administrative initiatives. Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
• This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
• 5 or more years of experience in workers’ compensation claims adjusting with an insurance carrier or TPA
• Strong organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience adjusting workers’ compensation claims in multiple jurisdictions
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex claim situations

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $86,000 to $112,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
