Our Technology Team
Our mission is to help borrowers achieve financial stability and provide a modern, scalable technology platform for our clients. In order to do so, we are building a cloud-first architecture to transform the way we work in the mortgage servicing industry. Our Technology team encompasses network and infrastructure operations, product and project management, and four core engineering disciplines: software development, platform engineering, quality assurance, and architecture. As a member of our engineering team, you will co-create innovative solutions that simplify processes, improve customer experiences, and redefine what’s possible in mortgage servicing.
Our Solutions Architecture capability is grounded in designing secure, cloud-native platforms. Using AWS services and modern web frameworks, we work closely with engineering teams to implement end-to-end solutions aligned with business needs. We embrace Agile principles to ensure flexibility, collaboration, and rapid delivery.
Your Role
As a Solutions Architect, you will lead the technical vision and design of SN Servicing’s cloud-first mortgage servicing platform. You’ll align business objectives with modern architectural patterns, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-effective. Additionally, you’ll serve as a mentor and coach for junior engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally.
Specifically, you will:
- Design end-to-end architectures leveraging TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS services.
- Establish and enforce technical standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure solutions are effectively implemented.
- Oversee the integration of authentication frameworks, including EntraID and OAuth.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to drive innovation and scalability.
- Actively mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on technical challenges and career development.
- Ensure alignment with Agile methodologies by actively participating in planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Your Skills
- Background or education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in software development and architecture.
- Expertise in designing cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Strong knowledge of authentication frameworks, system integration, and microservices.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to design and implement large-scale, distributed systems.
- A passion for mentorship and leadership, with a track record of guiding junior engineers to success.

Your Location
We are a remote-first workforce based in Seattle. Most of your time will be spent working from the location that best supports your creativity, with availability aligned to the Pacific Time Zone. Once a week, you will join the team at a shared workspace in Seattle for collaborative sessions focused on team building, innovation, problem-solving, and co-creation. Occasional travel to our corporate headquarters in Eureka, California, may be required 1–2 times per year to support business needs.
