Part Time Purchasing Assistant
Description: As Part Time Purchasing Assistant at SnackCraft, you will be responsible for supporting the Materials department to assist with tracking vendors, process orders, and inventory. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders will contribute to the efficiency and success of our purchasing operations. This role will help maintain and update the purchasing database and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Primary Work Area: Warehouse, Office & Production Floor
Qualifications:
- 2 Plus years of experience in supply chain management
- Bachelor's Degree in in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration or related field; preferred
- Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP Software systems, NetSuite preferred.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills, as well as knowledge of management principles and inventory control systems.
- Excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
- Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
- Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company Safety standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Closing/investigating PO's.
- Work with vendors for confirmation of POs as well as updating the POs with ship dates and price/quantity adjustments.
- Help Develop a report for confirmed vs unconfirmed POs. and adjusting datesPO confirmations with vendors.
- Inbound raw materials- Enter Sales/PO's from customers that send in their own raw materials, so the receiving team has the PO setup before requests for dock appointments.
- Use our ERP system to communicate inventory information with other business units
- Make recommendations based on findings and analysis
- Monitor variances and recommend process improvements
- Monitor data input to any Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system for accuracy and resolve any issues as required
- Review data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluate usage and cost of materials in relation to actual build
- Work towards and support a culture of continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible
- Responsible for following all food safety policies, procedures and regulatory criteria including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
