Position Overview : The Bilingual Technical Project Coordinator will act as a key liaison between our English and Chinese-speaking development teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination of project tasks. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in video game development, including knowledge of engineering processes, and be comfortable assisting with project timelines, task management, and deliverables. You will collaborate closely with game developers, artists, and management to keep projects running smoothly.
Hybrid - Mostly remote with required visits to Beverly Hills and Culver City offices.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Coordination :
Manage and track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure smooth progress across teams.
Assist in the planning and scheduling of project tasks for both English and Chinese-speaking teams.
Provide regular updates to management on project status, risks, and potential roadblocks.
Communication & Translation if needed :
Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between the English and Chinese teams.
Translate project documents, meeting notes, and technical instructions between Chinese and English as needed.
Facilitate team meetings and ensure all technical aspects of the project are clearly understood across languages.
Task Management :
Ensure that assigned tasks are completed on schedule and meet technical specifications.
Work with engineering, design, and art teams to clarify objectives and requirements for specific tasks.
Identify potential technical challenges or bottlenecks and escalate them to relevant team leads.
Project Reporting :
Prepare detailed project reports and documentation for stakeholders, ensuring bilingual clarity in all materials.
Track progress against deadlines and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications :
Bilingual Proficiency : Fluent in both Chinese and English (written and verbal), with the ability to understand technical and non-technical documentation.
Technical Background : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, video game design, or a related field, with experience in video game development (e.g., programming, tools, or engine development, Design, Project management).
Project Coordination Experience : 2 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in the video game industry.
Familiarity with Game Development Tools : Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and development software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Perforce).
Strong Organizational Skills : Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage priorities, and stay on top of deadlines.
Problem-Solving Ability : Comfortable with identifying project risks and working with technical teams to find solutions.
Team Player : Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Previous experience working with international teams.
