Position Overview: At Snake River Surgical, we specialize in the surgical care of the jaws, mouth, and face. Led by Dr. Bryan D. Lee, our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate surgical care in a safe and supportive environment for both our patients and staff. We are committed to delivering exceptional care, and our Treatment Coordinator will play a pivotal role in facilitating communication between patients, insurance companies, and our administrative team to ensure the smooth delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treatment Plan Development & Presentation:
- Create and present detailed treatment plans and cost estimates to patients, ensuring they understand the process and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients' billing and financial inquiries.
- Insurance Coordination:
- Contact insurance companies to verify patient benefits prior to appointments, ensuring accurate coverage information.
- Coordinate the submission and processing of insurance claims following patient care.
- Billing, Coding & Payment Management:
- Accurately code and submit insurance claims in a timely manner to ensure prompt reimbursement.
- Post payments to patient accounts and assist in managing outstanding balances.
- Team Support:
- Provide assistance to the front office staff, including coverage during absences, to ensure smooth operations and patient care.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Experience & Attributes:
- Full-time, long-term commitment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information to patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Proficiency with common office software and practice management systems.
- Previous experience with insurance verification, CPT, CDT, and ICD-10-CM coding is a plus (we are willing to train the right candidate).
- Strong work ethic and the ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in medical billing and coding is a plus but not required.
- Continuing education opportunities available to further your career.
Hours:
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Expected 40 hours per week.
- Travel between Idaho Falls and Rexburg offices required (approximately 25%).
- Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting hourly wage: $18 – $23 (depending on experience), with opportunities for growth.
