The Product Design team is a small but influential team that steers the future of the core Snapchat application. Our Designers work closely with the CEO and various cross functional leaders to create a design led roadmap to build products and experiences that bring our community together in new and special ways.
We’re looking for a Content Designer to join the Product team at Snap Inc!
What you’ll do :
Write microcopy for new features on the Snapchat app, across Map, Stories, Camera, Spotlight and more.
Collaborate closely with product designers and product managers to build new products.
Come up with names for new features, audit language for quality and consistency, collaborate with Localization and User Research, and A / B test copy.
Make sure our language is consistent with our style, translatable and aligns with best practice UX.
Brainstorm new product ideas as well as projects that can be led by you to create impact across important metrics.
Present your thinking to senior leaders at Snapchat and persuade them to your POV.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Experience writing for digital experiences such as websites, apps, emails etc., preferably in tech.
Examples of work where you proactively identified problems to solve.
An ability to build relationships with colleagues while being a strong advocate for Content Design.
Skills in managing several projects from different teams and turning around copy on tight deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications :
BS / BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
4 years of experience writing interface copy.
Preferred Qualifications :
Case studies that show your Content Design-led impact.
A strong passion for Snapchat and understanding of the platform.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) () :
The base salary range for this position is $152,000-$228,000 annually.
Zone B () :
The base salary range for this position is $144,000-$217,000 annually.
Zone C () :
The base salary range for this position is $129,000-$194,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
