We're looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineering Manager to lead our ML Dev Experience team! Snap leverages AI / ML to grow communities, and present personalized and engaging experiences. You will be in the forefront of AI / ML at Snap to make this happen.

What you’ll do :

Manage and mentor a team of full-stack developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment to build tooling and services to maximize ML engineering velocity at Snap.

Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver

Collaborate with Product, Software and Machine Learning Engineering teams, and executive stakeholders

Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor

Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Background with building high availability and mission critical systems

Experience with leading an engineering team

Ability leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience

8 years of experience working in software engineering

2 years of experience managing a team

Experience with distributed systems and web development

Preferred Qualifications :

Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments

Experience with building and maintaining mission-critical and highly-available global systems

Familiarity with processes and systems in ML Ops and ML Infra domains

Experience in building user-facing LLM / AI applications

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) () :

The base salary range for this position is $222,000-$333,000 annually.

Zone B () :

The base salary range for this position is $211,000-$316,000 annually.

Zone C () :

The base salary range for this position is $189,000-$283,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
