  • The Purpose of This Role

    The SMB Sales Manager is a full-time, in-person position at Snappy Kraken. Accessibility requirements are dependent on the role but could be expected during standard business hours Monday through Friday. This position is open to any candidates currently residing and eligible to legally work in the Nashville, Tennessee location.

    This role will be key in the leadership and development of a high-performing sales team and SDR teams to achieve and exceed revenue targets while driving the overall growth of the business. This position will combine strategic direction with hands-on execution to deliver measurable results in a dynamic SaaS environment.

    As of January 2025, the expected base compensation range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 USD. This role is also eligible for additional performance compensation predicated on reaching quota goals. Pay will be based on several factors, such as experience, certifications, location, market conditions, and other business and organizational needs. Snappy Kraken anticipates that the reasonably expected salary for this position could change in the future and retains the right to change or revisit the salary range according to business needs.

    The SMB Sales Manager will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.

    Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of inside sales representatives (Sales Development Representatives and Account Executives) to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads and opportunities
  • Refine and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems that drive deal velocity and bookings
  • Own and optimize sales processes, systems, and tools to ensure team efficacy
  • Recruit, onboard / enable, and train new sales team members in alignment with the sales growth strategy, including refining the sales onboarding program to reduce ramp-up time
  • Foster a culture of motivation and success by implementing development plans that encourage individual growth and positive team energy
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the sales process, address bottlenecks, and improve efficiency
  • Act as a strategic liaison between Marketing, Product, Customer Success and other internal teams
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to refine strategies to maintain competitive messaging
  • Primary Qualifications

  • Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS) company is required including familiarity with SaaS-specific metrics like ARR, MRR, churn, LTV, and CAC
  • Proven success as an individual contributor and leader, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop individuals to achieve or surpass their KPIs
  • Proficiency with sales enablement tools (eg. Gong), CRM systems (eg. Salesforce, Hubspot) and performance tracking tools
  • Knowledge of managing B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in coordinating sales strategies with marketing, with a focus on lead generation and qualification
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Exposure to the financial services industry is an asset
  • Strong asynchronous communication ability
  • Tech-Savvy and highly comfortable producing both in person and in a virtual environment working with remote communication software
