Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of vehicles sedans, pick up trucks, minivans and cargo vans.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for efficient loading and unloading of goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients upon delivery.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper functioning.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in moving or courier services preferred.
- Proficiency in driving various types of vehicles, including vans and box trucks.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
