Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join a fun and dynamic team in a mobile phlebotomy setting. The Phlebotomist will be a shining example of superior customer service and professionalism, performing skilled specimen collections and serving as the face of the company. In addition, you will have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. This is a PRN position with the potential to transition into a part-time or full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture using appropriate phlebotomy techniques.
- Ensure all blood specimens are properly labeled and documented.
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
- Travel to additional sites as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handle specimens with accuracy and ensure timely processing for lab testing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited program (e.g., ASCP, NHA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to interact with patients of all ages in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if applicable).
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the position.
- Adequate vision, manual dexterity, and physical stamina for the tasks involved in blood collection.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
Travel Expectations:
This position requires frequent travel to multiple states and cities each week to complete biometric health screening events. Travel may involve flying and driving to designated locations. Candidates must be comfortable with travel logistics and handling specimen drop-offs at local shipping sites.
