Engineered Wood Lead Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervision of Engineered Wood production crews, which includes, but is not limited to: safety, product quality, department workflow and manpower utilization, communication, and administering company policies and procedures. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Requires a strong commitment to and passion for safety and achieving a zero-incident goal.
Engineered Wood Lead Job Duties:
· Cuts product to specifications
· Build loads for delivery
· Load and unload lumber and building supplies
· Keeps lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe
· Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
· Previous experience using a saw for cutting lumber or materials, preferably in a lumber yard or similar.
· Load / Unload trucks and make sure each delivery/inbound order or customer pick-up is 100% accurate
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
· Or 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training with Lumber Yard/EWP
· Forklift Qualified
· Solid understanding of WMS-RFN
· Inventory Control
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to lift 50 to 100lbs consistently
· Ability to work overtime on short notice including evenings and weekends/holidays
· Strong Attention to Detail
· Basic Math Skills
· General Knowledge of hand/ power tools
· Ability to complete training requirements on assigned equipment (forklifts, tools, scan guns, tape measures and all required paperwork)
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
· Ability to work on your own or as a team concept without causing issues or disharmony to your team.
· Ability to Follow Rules & Directions set by Team Leads, Supervisors & Manager
Wage:
35-42k per year pendent on experience and OT worked
