What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician IV position at SNC?
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
- Advanced understanding of troubleshooting techniques
- Advanced electrical wiring skills
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
- Hands-on experience with wireless networks, tactical communications, and personal computers
- Communication and customer interface skills
- Thorough understanding of system level maintenance of networks and communications systems
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
- Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed location
- An active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Working knowledge of operating military units and logistics
- Familiarity with the network and integration of traditional communications systems and sensors
- Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques.
- Experience with RF, vehicle installation, and maintenance procedures
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, Government, or US Military
- Experience with Python and Linux Environments
