Automotive Porter

Position Title: Automotive Porter
Location: Gower, Missouri

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday
• When you work on Saturday, you will be off the following Monday.

Pay:

• $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Job Summary/Description:

The Automotive Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining dealership operations by safely moving/transporting, cleaning, and organizing vehicles at the dealership. The primary duties include ensuring the lot is orderly, delivering vehicles to customers or service areas, and assisting with minor maintenance tasks.

The Automotive Porter does support sales and service teams by ensuring cars are presentable and in the right location for customers and staff.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with cars, have good driving skills, and want to be part of a dealership or automotive service team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles (wash, vacuum, and wipe down interiors and exteriors).
• Support customers and all employees with retrieving vehicles, shuttling, or delivering cars to customers while providing friendly service. Runs various errands for the dealership.
• Vehicles must be inspected for damage before and after service or transport and report any issues to management.
• Parking lot - make sure vehicles are parked properly and organized. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and keeping the lot clear.
• Showroom – must keep the showroom clean, and vehicle clean and dust free.
• Clean, sanitize bathrooms and break room daily. Restock supplies in bathrooms, break room and common area daily
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary

Qualifications & Skills:

• 18 Years Old
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
• Must be willing to submit a background check and drug screen

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Exposure to various weather conditions while working outdoors.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods.
• Fast-paced environment with frequent vehicle movement.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.

Experience:

• Detailing cars: 1 year (preferred)
• Car Wash / Porter: 1 year (preferred)
