Automotive Lube/Entry Service Technician
Dennis Sneed Ford is growing and looking for a Lube & Tire Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have Ford service experience, but not a requirement. Training for the right candidate will be available. Must have basic shop tools and able to flourish in a fast-paced and professional workplace.
This role allows a technician minded person to learn the basics and then proceed with additional shop training provided by the dealership. In class time and expenses are paid for by the dealership.
Laptop and diagnostic electronics are provided.
Responsibilities:
- Able to do oil changes and vehicle inspections quickly and correctly
- Able to change, mount, and balance tires/wheels
- Understand or quickly learn to do an vehicle alignment
- Use laptop, workshop manual, and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and follow through with proper repairs
- Advise Service Advisor of needed repairs, including parts needs and advise manager of any changes or deviations from the original repair instructions on the repair order
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and any other pertinent information needed to describe repair activities per Ford specification
- As you advance, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely and correct, to pass quality inspections set forth by dealership and manufacture quality standards
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Basic Automotive Technician experience required
- MVI certified with the state of MO at time of hire or shortly thereafter
- ASE certifications are ideal
- Strong automotive background
- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
- Clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment testing to include: background checks, MVR, and drug testing

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
