Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Manager to join Dennis Sneed Ford dealership team.
The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the Parts Department, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and outstanding customer service.
You are the first point of contact with our customers and service technicians.
This role requires strong leadership, inventory management skills, and a deep understanding of automotive parts.
We are a tech forward Parts Department, and you must be computer savvy.
Everything is done electronically and we run an online parts business that sells via sneedparts.com, eBay, and Amazon.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee Parts Department Operations : Manage all aspects of the dealership’s parts department, including inventory control, ordering, receiving, and distribution of parts.
Build a list of parts for your daily order, review necessary orders for Ford for the day, and place those orders
Team Leadership & Development : Hire, train, and manage all counter, ecommerce staff and maintain an organized and cohesive department while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellent service.Stock in parts to the DMS - keep all order records, cross reference with Ford parts statements, verify charges vs what was receivedMaintain and understand Retail Inventory Management (RIM)Inventory Management : Maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer and service department needs while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.and completing a regular full inventory check
Compliance & Reporting : Ensure adherence to dealership policies, manufacturer guidelines, and safety regulations.Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for management.
Profitability & Cost Control : Monitor department expenses, set pricing strategies, and implement sales initiatives to maximize profitability.Review each ecommerce order for cost vs sale price, shipping charged vs shipping quote, etc.Ensure all billing is complete in our DMS for regular and ecommerce sales
Sales & Customer Service : Assist customers, service technicians, sales department, and any other staff in locating and ordering the correct parts, ensuring high satisfaction levels.Coordinate with service about any parts incoming for RO’s.
Contact special order parts customers whose orders have arrived
Vendor & Supplier Relations : Establish and maintain strong relationships with Ford and aftermarket parts suppliers to ensure quality and competitive pricing.Process and review all shipments and orders, both internally and ecommerce.
All POs and tickets reviewed, logged, printed, etc.day end process completed each dayReview incoming returns and process or make appropriate decisionsFollow up on scrap, core and hold items in OWSReview email, eBay, and other platforms questions and communications to answer accordinglyPhone / voicemail responseQualifications & Skills :
Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years in an automotive parts management role, preferably in a Ford dealership.Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of Ford parts, accessories, and inventory management systems.Leadership Abilities : Proven and demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage a successful team.Customer Service Skills : Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and internal departments.
Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and maintain accuracy under pressure.Technology Proficiency : Experience with dealership management software (Ford-specific systems, and Microsoft Office Suite)Time management skillsClean and valid driving recordWilling to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screenBenefits ( What We Offer) :
