We are seeking a Used Car Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of pre-owned vehicles in preparation for being for sale. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of our used car inventory, contributing to customer satisfaction and dealership success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of pre-owned vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Perform necessary repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other key components.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- Document all work performed, including parts replaced and diagnostic findings.
- Work closely with service advisors and sales staff to provide accurate repair timelines and cost estimates.
- Communicate any unexpected issues or delays promptly and professionally.
- Basic automotive mechanic, preferably with used or pre-owned vehicles.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
