Payroll Coordinator
Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest law firms in the Western United States, is seeking a full-time Payroll Coordinator to join the Payroll team in our Finance Department in Phoenix office. You will assist in the day-to-day operations of the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. This role supports payroll activities, maintains employee records, and ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Ideal candidates should have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in the payroll field. This role will report to the firm's Payroll Administrator and work closely with Human Resources and Benefit Department.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
- Maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality of all employees, and Firms' information and payroll records.
- Process of daily payroll data to review accurate PAF each time there is an action that should be recorded in the individual's personnel file that requires payroll action, keeping reports, spreadsheets updated organized in preparation of each payroll.
- Maintain reports, spreadsheets updated and organized in preparation of each payroll.
- Coordinate with Payroll Manger, HR, Benefits, to ensure the processing of new hires, promotions and terminations are accurate and timely.
- Verify timesheets, editing time transactions and contact timecard approver regarding potential issues related to payroll.
- Respond to daily employee inquiries via telephone and email to help clarify and / or resolve any payroll related issues, by collecting and analyzing information, records, emails and audits.
- Respond to external companies regarding employee records, and verification of employee.
- Other duties and projects as directed by Payroll Manager
