Billing Specialist Job Details:
Snell & Wilmer is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Finance Department in our Phoenix location. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of legal billing experience in a mid-sized to large law firm. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Outlook is also required. Candidates must be detail oriented, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment. Aderant or Elite experience is preferred. Some college experience with an emphasis in accounting and experience using Prebill Manager is a plus. This position is remote, with minimal in-office presence required occasionally.
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Use Prebill Manager and Aderant to accurately and timely process high volume of client invoices
- Ensure proper setup of new clients include rate management and maintenance
- Work closely with attorneys, legal staff, and clients to resolve complex billing challenges in a timely matter
- Ensure billing compliance with client outside counsel guidelines
- Attend in-office monthly meetings, events, and training as needed
- Develop and maintain smooth working relationships with attorneys, staff and teammates.
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc reporting as requested
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience
- Aderant or Elite experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Both oral and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Work both independently and within a team environment
- Able multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Maintain strict confidentiality of clients, matters and timekeeper information
