We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Civil Rights Administrative Support Specialist (Part-Time) to join a great company in the Birmingham area. The Civil Rights Administrative Support Specialist provides part-time administrative assistance to the Civil Rights Compliance Department. This role supports the efficient operation of the Civil Rights Compliance Department by handling administrative tasks, coordinating communication, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation. The position is essential in helping the department maintain compliance with federal, state, and local civil rights regulations.
Pay : $18 / hr
Schedule : 1st shift
Responsibilities for the Civil Rights Administrative Support Specialist (Part-Time) :
- Serve as the first point of contact for phone calls, emails, and inquiries related to Civil
- Rights Compliance programs, including ADA, Title VI, and DBE.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes for internal
- and external meetings, including the Paratransit Advisory Committee.
- Maintain organized records and files for ADA, DBE, and Title VI program
- documentation.
- Track and report data for compliance activities, such as DBE participation and ADA
- service metrics.
- Support the preparation of reports, correspondence, and other documentation required for
- federal and state audits or reviews.
- Coordinate communication between the Civil Rights Compliance department and internal
- departments or external stakeholders.
- Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks related to compliance programs.
- Assist in the development of training materials and scheduling training sessions for
- compliance-related topics.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the Civil Rights Compliance Manager.
