AutoCAD Designer (Full-Time / Part-Time)
Location : Mobile Alabama
Hours : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM (flexible full-time and part-time hours available)
Position Type : Temporary with potential for permanent placement
Our client has a dynamic engineering firm seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our growing team. We value proactive problem-solvers who can work independently and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed 2D / 3D designs using AutoDesk AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent CAD software
- Create and edit CAD blocks in a parametric-driven environment
- Interpret blueprints and translate general layouts into production-ready drawings
- Perform tolerance and fit analyses to ensure product form and function
- Communicate effectively with engineers, sales, production teams, and external vendors
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) from CAD elements
- Ensure design accuracy using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)
- Handle various CAD file formats such as DWG, DXF, STP, and IGES
