Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various applications. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software components, as well as the ability to work collaboratively on projects from conception through to completion. The Controls Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing system performance and reliability.
Duties
- Design and develop control systems using CAD software to create detailed schematics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
- Utilize FPGA technology for system design and implementation.
- Develop firmware solutions for embedded systems, including programming with Arduino.
- Implement surface mount technology (SMT) in the assembly of electronic components.
- Conduct debugging and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Integrate vision inspection systems into automated processes for quality assurance.
- Manage project scheduling to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Document all design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software for schematic design.
- Experience with FPGA development and firmware programming.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks for mechanical design integration.
- Strong debugging skills and experience with electronic testing equipment.
- Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) practices is preferred.
- Experience with vision inspection systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
