PAY/SCHEDULE/LOCATION/BENEFITS:
● $16.00-$17.00/hr (based on experience)
● Monday-Friday office hours (No weekends!)
● Medical, Dental, and Vision +
● Stone Oak area, San Antonio, TX
● Weekly Pay via direct deposit or pay card
MEDICAL INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST DUTIES:
● Verify insurance coverage levels for each patient.
● Communicate with insurance companies to ensure coverage for required procedures.
● Educate patients on their insurance benefits, including coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
● Process payments for services not covered by insurance.
● Obtain necessary referrals for patients whose insurance does not cover certain procedures.
● Update patient records and documentation related to insurance and billing.
● Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and keep accurate records of verification and communication.
MEDICAL INSURANCE VERIFICATION SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS:
● Must pass a background check and drug test (Pr-employment requirements)
● High school diploma or GED (Required)
● 2+ years of experience in medical insurance verification (Required)
● 2+ years of experience in medical billing (Preferred)
● Familiarity with medical terminology (Preferred)
● Previous customer service experience via phone (Required)
● Previous experience working with insurance companies (Preferred)
● Clear and professional communication skills
● Strong attention to detail
● No visible tattoos (Client workplace policy)
Salary : $33,200 - $35,000
