As the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Specialist, I will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting internal audits to assess adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards across the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards. The Quality Specialist will report to the Quality Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tracking and handling customer complaints.
- Reviewing and evaluating lab data and corrective action reports submitted by SMEs.
- Generate reports as part of the complaint closure verification process.
- Achieve ISO Internal Auditor certification within the first year.
- Participate in internal audits and the auditing of root cause analysis reports as they relate to customer complaints and internal off‐spec investigations.
- Support the generation of statistical data for operations, sales, and management.
- Support procurement and other departments with supplier, vendor, and customer audits.
- Participate in quality walks through the plants to eliminate opportunities for defects.
- Conduct meetings with production specialists regarding complaints, issues, etc.
- Represent the QA department at company improvement activities and meetings.
- Work closely with production, operations, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all stages of the production and delivery process.
- Cosmetic ingredient manufacture critical personnel must be aware of, implement, and support good manufacturing practices (GMP) required to conform to the guidelines recommended by agencies that control the authorization and licensing of the manufacture and sale of cosmetic products.
- A bachelor’s degree or two-plus years of quality assurance experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills – especially written: internal email, correspondence with customers, managers, etc.
- Good time management skills in managing lab samples, collecting and analyzing lab data, maintaining status reports, and conducting complaint follow‐up.
- A lab background is highly desirable – or at least a basic understanding of lab data and product lines.
- Effective analytical, problem‐solving, and multi‐tasking skills.
- Computer proficiency in all MS Office Software Applications.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong customer focus and a work ethic of seeking continual improvement.
- Ability to address issues, follow up, and implement solutions as required.
- Must be a team player and able to work well with teams representing all areas of the organization.
- Travel may be required to conduct audits at various company locations.
