Job Overview:
We are seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst with a specialization in Labor Efficiency to optimize labor costs, improve productivity, and provide data-driven insights that enhance operational performance. This role involves in-depth financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on labor trends to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Labor Cost & Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze direct labor costs, productivity metrics, and efficiency trends. Identify variances and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain labor cost budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews of labor costs, identifying deviations from budgeted or forecasted figures. Offer data-backed solutions to optimize spending.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Track key labor efficiency indicators (e.g., labor cost per unit, hours worked vs. production output) and generate insightful reports for leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, HR, and production teams to ensure accurate reporting and develop strategies for labor optimization.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance data integrity in labor cost reporting.
- Financial Systems & Tools: Leverage financial software (SAP) and advanced Excel functions to improve data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related role, with a focus on labor cost analysis.
- Strong understanding of direct labor cost drivers and financial principles in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex functions) and experience with financial planning software (SAP).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
