Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing and HVAC Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and be able to communicate effectively with our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate costs for commercial HVAC & Plumbing projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, mechanical contractors, and owners.
- Communicate effectively with sub-contractors and vendors.
- Manage multiple projects/bids at once.
- Ensure compliance with CHRO requirements and Set aside plans.
- Read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and CAD Drawings.
- Perform takeoffs and gather quotes from Subcontractors and Vendors.
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors for buy outs.
- Create Project Budgets.
- Attend Bid Meetings & Site Walk Throughs.
- Meet strict deadlines.
Requirements
- Estimating experience for projects $5,000,000.00 and Less.
- Minimum of 5 Years' experience in the Plumbing/HVAC Commercial/industrial.
- Experience using Trimble/Quickpen or Fast pipe (preferred).
- Strong estimation and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in CHRO requirements and Set aside plans.
- Ability to read Blueprints.
- Understanding the bidding process within the Plumbing & HVAC Industry.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office programs as well as PDF software.
- Experience with mechanical/plumbing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously with little supervision.
