Job Description:
The Procurement Manager will manage a team of buyers in their purchasing activities. They will work in close collaboration with the supply chain, supplier performance team and all internal customers (Operations, Sales, Quality, and Program). Responsible for the cost breakdown structure of purchased products but also of products related to the program. This position reports to the Procurement Director–North America
Job Description:
- Responsible for the construction of the budget for the scope and for maintaining the associated productivity plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or engineering, technical details preferred around aviation and aerospace preferred
- Leads sourcing activities in collaboration with members of the purchasing organization and internal customers, considering the specific requirements of the program concerned: prepares consultation documents, contributes to the panel of suppliers consulted in support of the team, manages the various stages of the consultation process, leads the sourcing committee and negotiates the contractual terms.
- Leads the response to specific requests from external customers relayed by sales or the program.
- Participate in internal meetings organized by program managers.
- Reports to internal customers and to the line management on progress, results and difficulties encountered. Propose/conduct appropriate action plans in his/her area of responsibility.
- Propose/validate with the procurement team the Purchasing Productivity Plan for the programs within their scope. Present global cost analysis
- Analyzes all components and materials of their programs to identify sources of gains and to generate these gains and supply chain optimization ideas.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience with Purchasing (IT/Industrial/Operations/Supply chain tools)
- Must come from the Aerospace Industry
- Excellent communication/ Expert negotiation skills
- Focused on results and meeting commitments
- Strong team player/Team management experience
- Bilingual is a
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
