We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing financial aspects of projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support project objectives. The successful candidate will play a critical part in supporting project teams to make financially informed decisions.
Primary Duties:
- Oversee project accounting activities and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts related to project activities.
- Maintain accurate records of project financial transactions, including accts. payables, billing and invoicing.
- Track project costs and ensure expenses are aligned with budget constraints.
- Collaborate with project managers to review financial performance.
- Monitor progress to meet financial objectives and report variances to management.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of financial management processes and systems.
- Participate in audits and ensure proper internal controls are in place.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of prior experience as an accountant (Construction/Cost/Project Exp. is almost necessary but not required) or equivalent exp.
- Experience working with contractors.
- Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Word/Excel (including creating spreadsheets, pivot tables, and using formulas for data entry).
- Proficiency in Sage is a (Exp. with any ERP systems are welcomed)
- Capacity to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Skilled in presenting information and responding to management inquiries.
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
