We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead a team of buyers in purchasing activities within the aerospace industry. This role works closely with supply chain teams, supplier performance teams, and internal stakeholders across Operations, Sales, Quality, and Programs. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategy development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a team of buyers, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in purchasing activities.
- Construct and maintain the budget and associated productivity plans for procurement.
- Lead sourcing activities, including preparing consultation documents, managing the selection process, and negotiating contractual terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to respond to specific customer requests related to procurement.
- Participate in program meetings, providing updates and reporting on progress, results, and challenges.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through detailed analysis of components and materials.
- Develop and present purchasing productivity plans and global cost analyses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (aviation/aerospace experience preferred).
- 4 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or procurement roles.
- Strong negotiation skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing teams.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
