Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Job Summary :
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will play a crucial role in communicating business results, forecasts, and budgets to executive management, private equity owners, and the board of directors. This position requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to drive process improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The FP&A Manager will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights that support long-term and short-term decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Analysis :
Conduct complex financial analyses across multiple business lines and provide meaningful insights for executive leadership.
Perform variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted financial performance, identifying key drivers and trends.
Develop and maintain financial models for scenario analysis, decision-making, and long-term planning.
Financial Reporting :
Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly board presentations, collaborating with executives to refine content.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and support strategic initiatives.
Assist in planning and developing annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Financial Leadership :
Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Enhance financial acumen across the organization by educating stakeholders on key metrics and performance drivers.
Act as a trusted advisor to sales and operations teams by translating financial data into actionable business insights.
Work closely with the accounting team to align financial planning, forecasting, and actual reporting.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of six (6) years of experience in an FP&A management role.
Experience in manufacturing or distribution industries preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to develop financial models, conduct financial analysis, and support strategic decision-making.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with ERP systems and data warehouse tools.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
