We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the extra mile philosophy to fulfill our Business Development Manager role.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business for our commercial locations using the provided tools, methods, and processes in order to achieve maximum client satisfaction and profitability. The Business Development Manager will handle the entire sales cycle of developing new business throughout the region and in all solutions, as well as offering commercial, industrial, OTR, mechanical, technology solutions, or others as specified by the Regional Managers.
What Youll Do on a Typical Day:
- Develops and successfully executes a personal sales plan utilizing the Integrity Selling System to retain or obtain new commercial tire account business and meet established monthly, quarterly and yearly goals.
- Responsible for targeting specific accounts and pushing new business into multiple locations throughout the region, not specific to one Snider location.
- Cross sell all Snider offered business segments (Commercial, Industrial/OTR, and Mechanical) products and services.
- Demonstrates the capacity to continue to seek, acquire, and grow business regularly.
- Collaborate directly with new customers and appropriate Snider personnel and facilities to properly implement the program developed for the customer to ensure the new relationship gets started on the right path based on commitments made to the customer.
- Maintain a well-rounded consciousness of safety for both yourself and employees around you
- Work with Branch Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and local Fleet Account Managers (FAMs) to assign acquired customers for ongoing account management and successful implementation of the customer plan.
- Properly utilize the FleetSMART program to effectively communicate the clients business plan including required pricing/service updates.
- Facilitates clear and open communications between clients and branch operations on requests/concerns, suggestions for improvements, safety awareness, order/service fulfillment, etc.
- Provide regular updates on daily work and client activity in Telenotes according to the company policy.
- Demonstrates and maintains a strong comprehensive knowledge of products, customers and industry markets.
- Assist FAM/FDM or branch manager with onboarding of new clients.
- Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE and demonstrate safety conscious mindset.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance, show up to work on time and in the correct uniform.
- Adheres to all policies, procedures and values of Snider Fleet Solutions.
This position is based at the companys corporate office. The majority of this position will consist of normal office tasks and interaction amongst peers and Snider branches. Overnight and out of market travel to other Snider locations and customers is more than 25%. When traveling to Snider locations, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts/equipment, fumes, or airborne particles, and the noise level is usually moderate to high.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Education or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related fields and or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3-5 years' experience within the industry or related management position.
- Familiarity with our employee portal and AS400 software a plus
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have a clean driving record.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Class C Driver's License or state(s) equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standards.
- Commercial TIA certification required after six months of employment.
Skills and Abilities:

- Must be able to sell customers on Sniders Business Model, by demonstrating a strong understanding of each departments features, benefits, offerings and strategy (Mechanical, Industrial & OTR, and Commercial).

- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and operate other software (AS400, SAP, Paylocity, BTN, etc.)
