JOB TITLE: Cook
REPORTS TO: Unit Director
SCHEDULE: Seasonal Part-time
PAY RATE: $17.13 - $17.64
JOB SUMMARY
Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) is a geographically dispersed mid-sized non-profit organization dedicated to enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We are seeking an experienced cook responsible for preparing and serving nutritious food to school-aged children in a child care environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shop for food
Prepare menus
Meet production schedules
Using basic cooking techniques, process food items, ensuring proper utilization and storage of food and supplies.
Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and work areas.
Perform job tasks in accordance with health, safety, and sanitary procedures.
Perform related tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Upon hire: National Food Handler Card
Upon hire: First Aid/CPR Certification
Previous experience as a cook preferred
Previous experience working in a child care environment preferred
External applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check to be considered for employment.
