The Public Works Solid Waste Division, Environmental Services Section is seeking a skilled professional with technical expertise in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) services to join our dynamic team. The core function of the Solid Waste SCADA Systems Administrator position is to be responsible for all aspects of support, maintenance and operation of the Division's SCADA systems and related technologies, ensuring effective, accurate and timely capture of operational and mandated data to support Division tasks. Additionally, the position will maintain various databases and program a variety of cloud-based applications to support access to regulatory data. We are looking for technology professionals with experience in Rockwell FactoryTalk View Studio and Historian, MicroLogix / ControlLogix PLC systems, SQL server administration, SSRS, Win-911, asp.net and C#.

Job Duties
BASIC FUNCTION
The SCADA Systems Administrator is responsible for all aspects of support, maintenance and operation of the Solid Waste Division's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and related technologies or programs, ensuring accurate and timely capture of operational and mandated data to support Solid Waste division tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) years of higher education / technical training in SCADA and instrumentation or industrial automation processing; PLUS, two (2) years of related SCADA systems experience, preferably in solid waste or wastewater treatment; OR, any equivalent combination of education and / or experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities. Must pass job related tests.

The employee works independently, with minimal supervision. Work is reviewed through status reports, staff meetings, work products and results obtained which may be spot checked for technical standardization, and conformance with design plans and specifications.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The work is generally performed in an office environment and occasionally outside in all types of inclement weather conditions at solid waste disposal sites throughout Snohomish County.
Work in this class may involve rotating shift assignments and requires employees to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
