Selection
We are building a pool of qualified candidates to fill anticipated openings throughout the next twelve (12) months. First round resume review will take place during the week 2 / 10 / 2025 and interviews will be scheduled for chosen qualified candidates. We will continue to accept applications up to 02 / 28 / 2025 or 200 candidates, whichever comes first. Resume review will continue weekly past the 2 / 10 / 2025 date and again interviews will be schedule for chosen qualified candidates.
Job Definition
Using a District vehicle, tools, devices and related software, the Meter Deployment Technician (MDT) locates equipment and performs electric meter replacements throughout Snohomish County PUD’s service territory to support the Connect Up project. All work is performed while maintaining a high level of safety and productivity. Follows predetermined routes on handheld devices and utilizes technology to document all processes. Checks for and reports unsafe or irregular conditions of related equipment. Communicates intended work with customers. Works with Lead to resolve problems in the field.
Distinguishing Characteristics
This position is a step progression position and is contingent on time requirements and completion of training and orientation with demonstrated proficiency to perform the MDT Essential Job Functions. Progression to step 2 requires 6 months of full-time work in position along with meeting the expectations of the Essential Job Functions. This position may also be responsible for assisting in customer Meter Reads and / or in the Warehouse as business needs dictate.

- Perform all related work under the direction of the Meter Deployment Superintendent and Leads.
- Use District vehicle, tools, and personal protective equipment to replace single phase electric meters.
- Accurately document all work being done using provided handheld phone / device utilizing related apps and software.
- Positive and professional interaction with customers, co-workers, and the public.
- Use basic computer software (training provided).
- Work well independently and with a team as assigned.
- Use sound judgement to assess work environment for unsafe conditions.
- Meets daily installation goals to support the District Connect Up Program.
