English Language Arts Teacher (Leave Replacement) (2025-26)

Job Summary: This is a 1.0 FTE non-continuing leave replacement position for an English Language Arts teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Under the direction of the Principal, responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.

Special Duties/Responsibilities: The candidate must be able to teach Advanced Placement (AP) Literature, with 12th grade students, and 10th grade English.

Salary Range: $75,241 - $149,387 (estimated for the 2025-2026 school year) per the Snohomish Education Association Total Compensation Salary Schedule. Placement on the salary schedule is determined by official documentation verifying educational level and work experience. Salary will be prorated for less than a full-year and/or part-time employees.

Contract: 180-days, includes 12 sick and 3 personal days per year (prorated for less than a full year)

Endorsement Required: ELA

Qualifications:

• Valid State of Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement.
• Possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR certification for duration of employment with the District when required for position by Board Policy.
