Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.

Salary Range: $25.29 - $28.74 Paraeducator A per 2024-25 Public School Employees Salary Schedule

Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
• Paid Hours: 6.25 hours per day
• Para A - 5.25 hours/day, Resource Room Support
• Para A - 1.00 hour/day, Overload Resource Room Support (Temporary time that may be adjusted based on enrollment in program in Feb. and April 2025.)
• Lunch Break: 30-minutes unpaid break
• Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time office during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays.
  
  

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
• Have received a score of 455 on the ETS ParaPro (https://www.ets.org/parapro),or a qualifying score on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessment or Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program;
• Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
• Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university.
• Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
• Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
