The Role of the Head Chef
As a Head Chef at Snooze, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen team, ensuring the highest quality of food and standards in every aspect of our operations. Your primary duties will include managing food purchasing, storage, and inventory, as well as overseeing preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen functions, ensuring high-quality food and adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain quality standards according to Snooze Food and Beverage guidelines
- Ensure consistent preparation and serving of menu items, conducting regular tastings to maintain consistency
- Achieve sales, service, safety, and sanitation objectives through effective training and leadership
- Maintain guest satisfaction by leading guest recovery efforts and collaborating with the Front of House team
Requirements and Qualifications
- 3 years of operations and leadership experience in the food and beverage industry
- Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register and Point of Sale system
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods and maintain stamina for 50-55 hours per week
