PURPOSE
Under the guidance of the Beverage Manager, the Assistant Beverage Manager will assist with providing leadership and support to the Beverage Department Supervisors and Staff, ensuring the seamless operation of the beverage service. They are responsible for monitoring and enforcing service standards, managing inventory, and overseeing the efficient distribution of products. By driving operational excellence, they work to maximize profitability, enhance guest satisfaction, and foster a positive, high-performing environment for team members. Through their leadership, the Assistant Beverage Manager ensures that the beverage department consistently meets or exceeds company goals, adheres to industry best practices, and delivers exceptional customer experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support Operational Management: Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the beverage department, ensuring service standards, inventory control, and product distribution meet business goals.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and support Supervisors, Bartenders, Beverage Servers, and Bar Backs, including training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Inventory and Order Management: Manage liquor ordering, verify deliveries, and ensure inventory levels meet demand while minimizing waste and loss.
- Policy Compliance and Operations: Monitor staff adherence to alcohol service regulations, safety standards, and operational policy and procedures.
- Guest Satisfaction: Resolve guest concerns related to beverage service, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and prompt issue resolution.
- Financial Oversight: Assist in tracking beverage costs, sales performance, and profitability, recommending strategies for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Menu Development and Promotions: Support beverage menu updates, new product offerings, and promotional events to drive sales.
- Administrative Duties: Help with reporting, payroll review, and maintaining records related to inventory, staff performance, and other operational aspects.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Three (3) years of restaurant/bar experience.
- Two (2) years of experience leading others in a supervisory or manager role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership and Organization: Ability to supervise, train, and motivate beverage staff, ensuring high performance. Ability to manage staff schedules, inventory, and multiple operational tasks effectively.
- Customer Service Excellence and Problem Solving: Strong focus on guest satisfaction, resolving issues efficiently and maintaining service standards. Identifying and resolving issues related to staff and inventory.
- Financial Acumen: Skilled at managing inventory, controlling costs, and maximizing beverage profitability.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication with staff, management, and guests to ensure smooth operations.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring consistency in beverage quality, safety, and compliance with policies.
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to changing operational needs and high-pressure situations.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Agilysys Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Beverage Expertise: Extensive working knowledge of spirits, wine, and beer.
PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
- Experience in high-volume beverage service environments, such as restaurants, hotels, bars, or nightclubs.
- Experience in inventory management, cost control, and staff training is a plus.
- Previous experience in the casino industry.
Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
