ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the supervision of the day to day operation of their shift to include: daily scheduling, coaching, counseling, disciplining, maintaining morale, retention and evaluation of all team members.
- Keep Executive Housekeeping Manager and EVS Assistant Manager informed of all major matters and staffing needs.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate with other department managers and supervisors on matters of concern.
- Represent the EVS Management in their absence.
- Represent the department in guest contacts and/or concerns.
- Follow all safety practices and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for team members and guests.
- Maintain current Right-to-Know training rosters.
- Oversee and assist the team; cleaning ceiling tiles, vents, light fixtures, upper walls, foliage, window glass and other items needing ladders over six (6) feet or use of mechanical lift.
- Oversee and assist the team in cleaning all carpet and upholstered areas with both wet and dry extraction equipment.
- Oversee and assist the team cleaning all wood, tile, and vinyl flooring with power equipment including stripping, sealing, waxing and burnishing.
- Oversee and assist the team for all banquet and marketing set up.
- See that all equipment is working properly and in safe working condition.
- Maintain all supplies throughout the casino and warehouse.
- Assist in the training and determination of training needs for all team members and ensures the training is completed.
- Responsible for completing and maintaining all shift records.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
- One (1) year previous experience in Snoqualmie Casino’s EVS Department or supervisory experience in a related field.
- Six (6) months experience with commercial cleaning equipment: floor machine, sweeper, vacuum, wet and dry extraction equipment.
- Six (6) months experience with commercial floor care including carpet extraction & restoration, stripping, sealing, waxing and burnishing.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in application of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
- Snoqualmie Casino Career Development Track Series completion.
Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for Security, Surveillance and DOT panel testing is required for Transportation positions. All other positions are subject to pre-employment testing, excluding marijuana.
