PURPOSE

As our Talent Development Partner, you will play a crucial role in developing and engaging our most important asset - our people. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating talent development programs and engagement strategies that support the Casino & Hotel's goals and values. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring our team members are motivated, skilled, and committed to delivering exceptional service.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Commanding the stage of new hire orientation and setting the tone for a journey filled with growth, excitement, and purpose. You will be the first chapter in our team member’s stories, making it a memorable and transformative experience.
  • After the curtains close on orientation, you’ll seamlessly transition our new hires into their roles, ensuring a harmonious integration into the unique rhythms of department operations. Your partnership with departments will craft a consistent and effective onboarding experience that resonates with every new hire.
  • Lead the charge in team member communication initiatives, turning back-of-house areas into vibrant hubs of information and inspiration with our internal media sources. Your vision will transform these spaces into focal points of connection, celebration, and knowledge.
  • Orchestrate an array of recognition programs like Best of the Best, 100% Club, and We Appreciate You (WAY), celebrating achievements and dedication of our team members.
  • Manage a positive onboarding experience for team members, ensuring they achieve critical competencies and understand their role in providing an Exceptional Entertainment Experience.
  • Develop and deliver industry-leading training programs, including orientation and ongoing professional development across all levels of the organization.
  • Foster deep understanding of departmental operations, challenges, and goals to tailor training and engagement strategies effectively.
  • Enhance team member engagement through communication channels like rallies, training TVs, and internal announcements.
  • Design and update training content, including back-of-house materials, instructional design projects, and learning roadmaps.
  • Partner and consult with department leaders to ensure training materials and other training tools are up-to-date and utilized effectively; coaches and provides guidance to department leadership on implementation and utilization of training materials.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to create, review, and update training manuals, ensuring consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate training records, manage the training calendar, and upkeep training facilities and equipment.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration or related field. An additional (2) years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Four (4) years Learning & Development, Training, and/or Talent Development experience, with at least one (1) year experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or Gaming.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to assess learning capabilities, develop training strategies, track desired training objectives and results.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills with a variety of participants, including a demonstrated ability to moderate, facilitate, and engage large groups.
  • Uses collaborative approach to partnering with management/leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to design training programs using a clean slate; understands the training process from design through execution.
  • Demonstrated experience with formally conducting a company training needs assessment and recommending appropriate training/learning interventions.
  • Proficiency in facilitating online training programs, webinars, distance learning, and eLearning.
  • Hands on experience in delivering both front-line and management development programs to diverse participants.
  • Proven expertise in training initiatives in all aspects of organizational development including change management, team building, conflict management, career development, and diversity.
  • Ability to develop training databases for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, with the ability to multitask and work well under demanding situations.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Intermediate computer skills required with proven proficiency in MS Office programs and database administration.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects; -engage in self-directed work, drive deadlines and resources, and work with a high degree of initiative, attention to detail and personal responsibility.


PREFERRED

Education and Experience:

  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), PHR (SPHR), SHRM-CP (SCP), or related.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training in a large-scale, 24/7 workforce.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Certification in Training Instruction “Train the Trainer,” or from a National Program Training Association.
  • Knowledge of a secondary language, such as Chinese Mandarin or Spanish.

Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
