POSITION SUMMARY: The Food Service Worker supports the hospitals mission by ensuring patients, visitors, and staff receive safe, nutritious, and well-presented meals. This position plays a vital role in healing and comfort by consistently upholding standards of cleanliness, timeliness, and patient-centered service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Restock and clean equipment and work areas consistently to maintain a pristine environment.
Double-check meal trays for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.
Receive and put away stock in a timely, orderly, and safe manner.

Embrace technology for meal ordering, patient tracking, and communication tools.
Suggest improvements for tray line efficiency, menu flow, or patient satisfaction where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education: N/A
Required Licensure: Food worker's card
Specialty Certification: N/A
Required Experience: prior food service or healthcare experience preferred but not required.
Skills: ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for patients and their care needs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office and clinical settings with potential exposure to patient care areas.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
May require occasional travel between facility locations.

Benefit Eligibility Requirements - Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.
