Job Summary:
Snoqualmie Valley Health is seeking a skilled Lead Mammography Technologist to join our team. The Lead Mammographer oversees mammography operations within a healthcare facility, ensuring high-quality imaging services, patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes performing mammography screenings, assisting in the American College of Radiology (ACR) and Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) accreditation processes, and leading quality assurance initiatives to support excellence in breast imaging services. This full-time position offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and the potential for a sign-on bonus. $2.00 lead differential added to base rate of pay.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Radiologic Procedures: Perform mammography screenings, positioning patients and operating mammography equipment to produce optimal images. Adjust settings (e.g., kilovolts, milliamperes, exposure time) as needed.
- Image Quality: Consistently produce high-quality mammography images, ensuring compliance with ACR and MQSA standards. Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic accuracy.
- ACR Accreditation: Assist in achieving and maintaining ACR accreditation by preparing documentation, conducting audits, and ensuring all guidelines are met.
- MQSA Compliance: Oversee compliance with MQSA requirements, including quality assurance testing, documentation, and adherence to follow-up protocols.
- Leadership: Supervise and mentor mammography technologists, promoting professional growth and ensuring a high standard of care and service.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct and monitor routine quality control tests on mammography equipment and collaborate with service providers for maintenance and repairs as necessary.
- Patient Care: Educate patients on procedures, provide emotional support, and create a positive experience throughout their visit.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and accreditation-related documentation.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals and patient care standards.
Licensure, Certification, Education & Experience:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, with advanced certification in Mammography
- Current WA State Radiologic Technologist licensure
- Training in the operation of mammography equipment
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification by date of hire
- Experience with ACR accreditation and compliance with MQSA standards in a mammography setting
- Desired:
- 2 years of experience in a radiology or mammography setting
- Prior experience ensuring compliance with ACR and MQSA requirements
- Strong organizational and leadership skills

Eligibility Requirements - Employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week.
