Job Purpose and Position Overview:
The Receiving Clerk position is an hourly, overtime non-exempt position. They must be proactive, forward thinking, and work to solve potential problems before they arise. Working with the Purchasing Manager, they will strive to improve inventory management, maintain quality control, and keep materials flowing to the shop floor.

Physical Requirements:
Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced shipyard with moderate to loud noise levels from production activity. The individual will be required to be in production areas in yard and onboard vessels. He/she must be able to walk to and from job sites. The person must be able to climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders; to enter confined areas and tanks; to work at heights. He/she may be required to work more than 8-hour shifts and/or on the weekend. The incumbent must be able to frequently bend, squat, crawl, twist and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
